Adam Dowdney

Adam specialises in corporate finance matters, with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&As), management buyouts (MBOs), private equity transactions, restructurings, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and general company law matters.

He has a proven track record advising on complex transactions across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on the technology, transport, logistics, motor, insurance, retail, and recruitment industries.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Adam has advised on numerous high-profile transactions, including the sale of companies to major corporate players and guiding management teams through complex private equity deals.

He works with clients ranging from high-growth businesses to established corporations, providing strategic, commercially-minded advice.

Adam has been inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame. He has also been named Lawyer of the Year at the 2011, 2022 and 2025 Thames Valley Deal Awards, Dealmaker of the Year at the 2024 awards, and Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 Inside Deals Awards.

Outside of his legal career, Adam has contributed to the development of the corporate law sector and is well-regarded for his expertise in corporate governance and deal structuring.
